Join the American Association of Physics Teachers for the highly anticipated Demo Show at the 2024 AAPT Summer Meeting! This exciting event is a showcase of captivating physics demonstrations designed to educate, entertain, and inspire. Renowned educators and demonstrators from across the country will present a variety of engaging and innovative experiments, highlighting key concepts in physics in a fun and accessible way.

When: Monday, July 8, 2024 from 8:00pm to 9:00pm

Where: Sanders Theatre in Memorial Hall

An entry ticket is required for the Demo Show at Sanders Theatre. Scroll down to reserve your ticket(s) in advance, or get your ticket at the door of the event pending availability. Tickets are free before processing fees for advance reservations are calculated. This event is open to the general public. All physical tickets can be picked up on the day of at Sanders Theatre from 6:30pm up until showtime at 8:00pm.

Tickets are valid until 7:45pm, after which point seating is not guaranteed.

Doors Open: Sanders Theatre doors will open at 7:30pm and the Demo Show will start promptly at 8:00pm.

Parking: Free parking is available at the Broadway Garage, located at 7 Felton Street, between Broadway and Cambridge Streets. Parking is from one hour pre-performance to one hour post. More info at Parking & Directions.

Limited Transportation to Demo Show for 2024 AAPT Summer Meeting Attendees

Limited pre-purchased bus tickets are available for $26 (round-trip, fees included). An entry ticket to the Demo Show is included.  
  • Reservation intructions to be announced soon.
  • Time of bus departures from the hotel: 
    • Buses will depart from the Westin Boston Seaport promptly at 7:15pm.
  • Time of bus departures from Harvard:
    • Return buses depart at 9:15pm and the last bus departs at 9:30pm sharp.
  • Duration of trip: approximately 30 minutes each way.
  • Please note: ADA accessibility for buses. All buses to Harvard comply with accessibility requirements.


Alternatively you can travel by:

  • Uber for $14 - $29. Destination: 45 Quincy Street in Cambridge. Ride sharing is encouraged.
  • MBTA, Boston’s Public transportation, is approximately $5.
    • From Boston Seaport, walk 10 minutes to the Red Line T at South Station. Train direction north to Alewife.
    • Ride 6 stops to Cambridge.
    • Exit at Harvard Station.
    • Walk 5 minutes to Harvard’s Sanders Theatre in Memorial Hall.
