BlackCAST presents BLKS

December 7-10, 2023

Waking up to a shocking and personal health scare, Octavia and her best friends, June and Imani, go on a crusade to find intimacy and joy in a world that could care less about them or their feelings. This 24-hour blitz explores what it is to be a queer blk woman in 2015 New York, how we survive and save ourselves from ourselves.

BLACK OUT night is designed to create a space for Black audience members to loudly and jubilantly react to our show. People of all backgrounds and identities are invited to attend/welcome at our shows. We encourage individuals who do not identify as Black to attend our matinées, opening night, and Friday evening showings to facilitate the creation of an all-black-identifying audience on Saturday, December 9th, at 7:30 PM. We hope you’ll join us on this 90 minute thrilling and hilarious journey!

BlackCAST (Black Community and Student Theatre) is a Harvard student-run organization whose primary purpose is stimulating interest and support of Black theater on campus.
